"Little Richard" As A Child

What a natural talent!

''Little Richard'' For those of you that are old enough to remember him(Yes! I mean you.)(or most of you)....... Little Richard when he was about 4 years old!!!

You have to see this! Watch how he uses his fists and elbows and doesn't even look at the keys when he sings!
This is amazing to see. It's Richard Wayne
Penniman (aka Little Richard) about fifteen years before "Tutti Frutti, Oh, Rudy...."
A-whop bop-a-lu bop a-whop bam boom.
Here is some very rare footage of "Little
Richard" as a child, when he was just starting out in the music biz'
... From a movie with Van Johnson ...

Senior Citizen Joke

A little silver-haired lady calls her neighbor and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get started."

Her neighbor asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?"

The little silver haired lady says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a rooster."

Her neighbor decides to go over and help with the puzzle.

She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says,

"First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these

pieces into anything resembling a rooster."

He takes her hand and says, "Secondly, I want you to relax.

Let's have a nice cup of tea, and then," he said with a deep
 sigh .............

"Let's put all the Corn Flakes
back in the box."

13 April 2013 - James 1: 19

Saturday, April 13

Every man must be swift about hearing, slow about speaking, slow about wrath. — Jas. 1:19

If a Christian senses that he is becoming angry when discussing a matter with a fellow believer, he is wise to heed this counsel. What are the benefits of following it? By taking time to calm down, pray about the matter, and consider how best to reply, a Christian allows himself to be led by God’s spirit. (Prov. 15:1, 28) Under the influence of the spirit, he can manifest mildness and long-suffering. He is thereby equipped to heed the counsel found at Ephesians 4:26, 29: “Be wrathful, and yet do not sin . . . Let a rotten saying not proceed out of your mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers.” Indeed, when we clothe ourselves with mildness and long-suffering, we contribute to the peace and unity of the congregation. w11 4/15 4:6, 7

Gotta Love This Lawyer

You can relate to this if you have ever dealt with a government bureaucrat. Cheers to this lawyer!

Part of rebuilding New Orleans (after Katrina) often caused

residents to be challenged with the task of tracing titles to their

homes... back potentially hundreds of years. With a community rich

with history stretching back over two centuries, houses have been

passed along through generations of family, sometimes making it

quite difficult to establish ownership.

A New Orleans lawyer sought an FHA loan for a client.. He was told

the loan would be granted if he could prove "satisfactory title" to

a parcel of property being offered as collateral. It took the lawyer

three months to track down the full title to the property which

dated back to 1803. After sending the information to the FHA, he

received the following reply.

( Actual reply from FHA):

"Upon review of your letter adjoining your client's loan

application, we note that the request is supported by an Abstract of

Title. While we compliment the able manner in which you have

prepared and presented the application, we must point out that you

have only cleared title to the proposed collateral property back to

1803. Before final approval can be accorded, it will be necessary to

clear the title back to its origin."

Annoyed, the lawyer responded as follows:

Actual response):

"Your letter regarding title in Case No.189156 has been received. I

note that you wish to have title extended further than the 206 years

covered by the present application. I was unaware that any educated

person in this country, particularly those working in the property

area, would not know that Louisiana was purchased by the United

States from France , in 1803 the year of origin identified in our

application. For the edification of uninformed FHA bureaucrats, the

title to the land prior to U.S. ownership was obtained from France ,

which had acquired it by Right of Conquest from Spain . The land

came into the possession of Spain by Right of Discovery made in the

year 1492 by a sea captain named Christopher Columbus, who had been

granted the privilege of seeking a new route to India by the Spanish

monarch, Queen Isabella. The good Queen Isabella, being a pious

woman and almost as careful about titles as the FHA, took the

precaution of securing the blessing of the Pope before she sold her

jewels to finance Columbus 's expedition... Now the Pope, as I'm sure you may know,

is the emissary of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and God, it is commonly accepted,

created this world.

Therefore, I believe it is safe to presume that God also made that part of

the world called Louisiana . God, therefore, would be the owner of

origin and His origins date back to before the beginning of time,

the world as we know it, and the FHA. I hope you find God's original

claim to be satisfactory.

Now, may we have our damn loan?"

The loan was immediately approved.

THE TRINITY

Now, when I am at a door and the house holder says I believe in the Trinity....HOW COULD I KINDLY EXPLAIN?

The trinity teaches that God asked himself to go to earth to save mankind.

Then he agreed with himself and volunteered himself to himself to offer himself.

Then God impregnated a woman as himself, with himself.

God prayed to himself and glorified himself repeatedly.

God strengthened himself and talked to himself.

Finally God forsook himself and sacrificed himself to prove his loyalty to himself.

While dead he resurrected himself so he could exalt himself above himself.

Then he sat at his own right hand and waited til he placed his enemies as a footstool

Finally with Satan's forces defeated God would turn his kingdom over to himself

That all things would become everything to himself.

These are all good, but the last one is great.

****The householder said, "Only those who have accepted Jesus in their
lives will be saved." The brother responded with, "We certainly agree with
that, but where does that leave Abraham, Moses, Job, King David and all the
others in the Old Testament who never knew of Jesus?"*
*
*
****A brother was talking with a householder about being saved. The
householder said, 'I have accepted Jesus in my life, recognize that he died
for my sins and I'm now saved.' The brother responded with 'Well, if that is
the case, shouldn't the Bible be one paragraph long? What is the rest of it
for? That's why we go door to door - to offer people Bible studies to learn
about all the requirements from God.* '
*
*
**** This is from a brother in the Spanish Dover congregation in New
Jersey --- The householder usually will ask, "What religion are you?" In
most cases we would answer, "Jehovah's Witnesses," and the conversation
would normally end there with the words: "Sorry not interested!" But, reply
in this manner: "Jehovah's Witness, and you?" This mandates a reply from the
householder, thus allowing us to continue the conversation.*
*
*
**** This came from a Regular Pioneer sister in the North congregation in
Anchorage, Alaska --- I would like to relate one that our District
Overseer/Branch Overseer is known for: When the householder says, "I'm not
interested" at the beginning of the conversation, he sometimes (when the
time is right) replies: "I don't blame you, I haven't said anything
interesting yet."*
*
*
**** This came from a Sister in the Franklin, Illinois congregation ---
One circuit overseer suggests leaving a question with the householder
whether or not they are too interested in listening to us: We were asking
our neighbor's opinion of this, "If Jesus was to return to the earth, what
church would he attend?"' It is amazing how many don't automatically say
their own. I have used it occasionally and it has allowed for continued
conversations.*

*
**** This is said to be a modified statement of Brother Russell's: There
are over 10,000 religions in the world. If God set these up for us to learn
to worship Him properly, learn to love one another, and have useful,
peaceful lives, we can only arrive at one of two conclusions: Either he
failed miserably, or he didn't set them up in the first place and something
else is behind them. Do you agree?*
*
*
**** In a discussion with a householder, the householder made the
statement: 'The King James Bible is the only true Bible from God.' The
Brother said, 'Oh, is that the one the apostles used? Or, did the apostles
have the wrong Bible?'*
*
*
**** This is from a Circuit Overseer in pioneer school: The householder
stated that he believed in the Trinity. The Circuit Overseer then said, 'Oh,
then you have the latest information on it?' The man asked what that was,
and the Circuit Overseer brought out the Trinity brochure!*
*
*
**** This is from a Circuit Overseer: When talking with someone who
believes in the Trinity, they seem to focus on John 1:1 for some reason.
This Circuit Overseer says to them, "I'll tell you what, You take your best
Scripture for the Trinity and throw it out and I'll take my best Scripture
against it and throw it out, and then let's talk about the Trinity from the
Scriptures." Great idea!*

*
**** From a brother in the Dominican Republic: Trinitarians usually start
off with some "proof texts" and then launch into some Greek words they know.
I have learned now instead of trying to "duke it out" with them, I bypass
all of that by saying, "Let's suppose you are right, the Trinity does exist
and we are wrong, then please show me from the Bible what I should do to
find the right religion." This usually stops them cold, as they have never
thought about guiding someone to the truth, only about stopping JW's on the
Trinity.*

*
**** This is from a brother in the Cortez congregation in Connecticut ---
A brother was talking with a householder about the immortality of the soul.
The brother turned to Genesis 2:17 and read it to the householder and said,
'Here God states that you will positively die.' Then he turned to Genesis
3:4 and read it to the householder and said, 'Here Satan said you will
positively **not** die. Which do you choose to believe**?'*

12 April 2013 - Romans 4: 13

Friday, April 12

It was not through law that Abraham or his seed had the promise that he should be heir of a world, but it was through the righteousness by faith. — Rom. 4:13

God counted faithful Abraham as righteous. (Rom. 4:20-22; Jas. 2:23, 24) That cannot mean that Abraham was sinless while serving Jehovah over the decades. No, he was not righteous in that sense. (Rom. 3:10, 23) However, in his limitless wisdom, Jehovah took into account Abraham’s exceptional faith and his works resulting therefrom. In particular, Abraham exercised faith in the promised “seed” to come in his line. That Seed proved to be the Messiah, or Christ. (Gen. 15:6; 22:15-18) Accordingly, on the basis of “the ransom paid by Christ Jesus,” the divine Judge is able to forgive sins that occurred in the past. Thus, Abraham and other men of faith in pre-Christian times are in line for a resurrection. — Rom. 3:24, 25; Ps.32:1, 2 w11 6/15 2:17, 18

11 April 2013 - Genesis 3: 5

Thursday, April 11

You are bound to be like God, knowing good and bad. — Gen. 3:5

Although speaking only to Eve, Satan used the plural form of the pronoun “you.” In so doing, he may have tried to appeal to her pride, endeavoring to make her feel important—as if she were the spokesperson for herself and her husband. The result? Eve evidently took it upon herself to speak for both of them by saying to the serpent: “Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat.” Satan also distorted the facts. He implied that God was unfair in demanding that Adam and Eve “must not eat from every tree of the garden.” Next, Satan got Eve to think about herself and how she could supposedly improve her lot in life, becoming “like God.” Eventually, he got her to focus on the tree and its fruit rather than on her relationship with the One who had given her everything. (Gen. 3:1-6) Sadly, by eating of the fruit, Eve showed that Jehovah was not the most important Person in her life. w11 5/15 3:4, 5

Navaho Indian Blanket at Auction

WOW!!!! This is quite the story. Don't delete it without watching it. Don't toss it out just because it's old.

A touching story that's hard to believe!!
In case you ever come across one of these!!
Incredible! Those early Navajo weavers knew how to obtain
the best thread! This man lost half of his leg and because he
needed the money he thought he would sell an old Indian
blanket that he inherited from his family.

Watch the guy’s face when the bidding starts.

Medical Excise Tax on Retail Receipts Show How We’re Screwed by Obamacare, page 1

An Infowars reader sent along an image of a sales receipt from Cabela’s, a popular sporting goods store.

The receipt (pictured at left) spells out what Obama and the feds want to keep secret – the middle class is being heavily taxed despite all the fatuous rhetoric of Democrats who invariably play the class warfare card to sell their confiscatory taxation policies.

“The 2.3% Medical Excise Tax that began on January 1st is supposed to be ‘hidden’ from the consumer, but it’s been brought to the public’s attention by hunting and fishing store Cabela’s who have refused to hide it and are showing it as a separate line item tax on their receipts,” the email states.

Now please hold on and bare with me before you say "OH, another Alex Jones article!" because I did some research and found directly from the IRS's website information that PROVES this to be true and an accurate portrayal of something hidden in Obamacare that I was not aware of!

Now being skeptical of this I went to the IRS website and found this!

Q1. What is the medical device excise tax?

A1. Section 4191 of the Internal Revenue Code imposes an excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices by the manufacturer or importer of the device.

Q2. When does the tax go into effect?

A2. The tax applies to sales of taxable medical devices after Dec. 31, 2012.

Q3. How much is the tax?

A3. The tax is 2.3 percent of the sale price of the taxable medical device. See Chapter 5 of IRS Publication 510, Excise Taxes, and Notice 2012-77 for additional information on the determination of sale price.

So being more curious I clicked on "Chapter 5 of IRS Publication 510" And WALLAH! What do I find under "MEDICAL DEVICES" under "MANUFACTURERS TAXES"?

Manufacturers Taxes
The following discussion of manufacturers taxes applies to the tax on:
Sport fishing equipment;
Fishing rods and fishing poles;
Electric outboard motors;
Fishing tackle boxes;
Bows, quivers, broadheads, and points;
Arrow shafts;
Coal;
Taxable tires;
Gas guzzler automobiles; and
Vaccines.

I think we have definately been fooled, if we believe that the Affordable Care Act is all about health care. It truely does appear to be nothing more than a bill laden with a whole lot of taxes that we the people have yet to be aware of!

TALK BY BRO. WILLIAM MALENFANT FROM BETHEL

A brother's personal notes taken from a talk given by brother

William Malenfant of Brooklyn Bethel.

Please read the account found in Mark 5:25-34 (New World Translation) before continuing.

(Mark 5:25-34) 25 Now there was a woman subject to a flow of blood twelve years, 26 and she had been put to many pains by many physicians and had spent all her resources and had not been benefited but, rather, had got worse. 27 When she heard the things about Jesus, she came behind in the crowd and touched his outer garment; 28 for she kept saying: “If I touch just his outer garments I shall get well.” 29 And immediately her fountain of blood dried up, and she sensed in her body that she had been healed of the grievous sickness. 30 Immediately, also, Jesus recognized in himself that power had gone out of him, and he turned about in the crowd and began to say: “Who touched my outer garments?” 31 But his disciples began to say to him: “You see the crowd pressing in upon you, and do you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32 However, he was looking around to see her that had done this. 33 But the woman, frightened and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her: “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be in good health from your grievous sickness.”

Isn’t that a beautiful account?

Who healed her?

Jesus didn’t know who touched him, remember?
- 30 Immediately, also, Jesus recognized in himself that power had gone out of him, and he turned about in the crowd and began to say: “Who touched my outer garments?” 31 But his disciples began to say to him: “You see the crowd pressing in upon you, and do you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Who could see that woman working her way up the crowd to get to Jesus?

Who could appreciate all the pain she’d been through, the suffering she had been through?

Who could appreciate the quality of her faith?

Who allowed power to flow out of Jesus into that woman, so she’d be healed?

It had to have been Jehovah.

You see, Jesus knew something had happened that the apostles didn’t know. That’s why they said: “Well, why do you say: “Who touched me?”

‘THIS was new, something happened’, thought Jesus. He felt ‘power’ go out of him. He knew something remarkable had happened

What does that tell you about Jehovah?

Isn’t that remarkable?

Now another question…

What’s her name?

Do you know? Me neither…

The Bible doesn't say. It doesn’t say. “Nobody. She was just nobody.” Was she?

Jehovah knew her... He took care of her.

Do you see the point?

So don’t ever get into the feeling that: “Well, I’m nobody. What does God care about me?”

He DOES care!

And sometimes we’ll say: “Well, I’m so imperfect…” Well of course you are. Who isn’t? We all are.

We’re getting life by undeserved kindness, brothers and sisters. We’re not getting it because we’re so righteous and so good. We do our best. Yes. But life is coming by God’s undeserved kindness. Jehovah sees all of us and the beauty of it is…HE KNOWS! He understands us. He knows that we make mistakes and sometimes we get down on ourselves and beat ourselves, for sure.

You know what brother Franz used to say about that?

“I remember once at an assembly, the Israelites were all waiting for Jehovah to clear away all the fog and the mist when the Egyptians were after them, you know? And the Israelites were going to cross the Red Sea. Jehovah said to them:

“Stop praying and get going!”

And what that means is:

Get up! Get going with your life! Serve Jehovah with rejoicing!

Don’t ever go through life lamenting and looking at things that have happened and “’Ooh this’, and ‘Oh my, that’”.

Jehovah knows…

Jesus paid the price that covers our past mistakes; it covers current mistakes and even in the future, as long as we’re genuine in serving God and doing our best…Jehovah forgives us. But we have to put forth the effort and have faith in the arrangement. And then we can serve Him with a good heart.

Now, back to that woman…

She didn’t have the right to touch Jesus. That’s true, isn’t it? Because she had a flow of blood. And in the Hebrew Scriptures it tells us a woman with a flow of blood was unclean.

Now think of it…

Here’s this woman, unclean, coming through a crowd, and is going to touch The Holy One of Israel. Jehovah God obviously knew about it, could see it. His own law that He inspired said a woman with a flow of blood was unclean, and yet, what happens?

Evidently, He pushes His own law aside, lets her touch Jesus… She becomes clean. He heals her...

Doesn’t that tell you something else about Jehovah?

He takes everything into account. He looks at the whole picture. He sees our whole life, our whole background. The things we battle with, our imperfections. And He still loves us. And He does what He can to help us.

That’s a wonderful thing! That should really move us to really want to serve Jehovah and love doing His will.

There’s a scripture in 1 John that says: “Jehovah is greater than our heart.” Well, what that means is that our heart sometimes focuses in just on small individual imperfections and problems we have. But Jehovah sees much more than our little heart. He sees the whole picture. He’s greater than our heart. And we’re grateful for that because, He does, indeed, love every one of us.

And so, when you get discouraged and blue…think about that woman. And think about the wonderful hope we have and the beautiful things that are in store for us and our great privilege of serving Jehovah God right to the end. And then we can rejoice and be happy in our service

10 April 2013 - 1 Corinthians 9: 23

Wednesday, April 10

I do all things for the sake of the good news, that I may become a sharer of it with others. — 1 Cor. 9:23

How serious was Paul about his ministry? He was willing to “slave” both for Jehovah and for those who would listen to the message of truth. (Rom. 12:11; 1 Cor. 9:19) When we take on the responsibility to teach people God’s Word—either during a home Bible study, a Christian meeting, or a Family Worship session—do we sense our responsibility toward those we are teaching? Perhaps we feel that conducting a regular Bible study is too much of a burden for us to take on. Granted, it usually calls for taking time from our personal pursuits and devoting that time to helping others. But is that not in the spirit of Jesus’ words that “there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving”? (Acts 20:35) Personally teaching others the way to salvation will bring us happiness that cannot be compared with any other activity. w11 4/15 1:7, 8
